What the Experts say About the Future of CBD

As of 2023, 42% of all US states have legalized the use of recreational marijuana. While the subject is very divisive as to the idea of its legalization. In a poll showing the temperature of its legalization, it shows that 21 states including the District of Columbia permit marajuana use in all situations provided the individual is over 21. 37 states approve of medical marajuana with 11 of those states approving of CBD oils and small amounts of THC. Lastly, 2 states do not approve of CBD nor any use of marajuana at all. Though further study suggests that more states are warming up to the idea of legalizing cannabis in the coming years ahead.

To gather some insight of the future of cannabis, noted experts weigh in with their thoughts on the subject. Paul Armentano, Deputy Director of NORML stated that, “[Legalization] victories have almost exclusively all been at the state and local level, and I expect that trend to continue in 2023.” When asked about the timeframe of CBD awareness, Tyler McFadden, Board Member of BOWL PAC has this to answer: “[Legalization] might not be tomorrow, it might not even be next year, but as long as we’re doing something about it now, we’ll reach it faster than we would if we stand here twiddling our thumbs, waiting for something to happen without doing anything about it.”
