‘Oyster Fair’ at Chaya Venice, M.B. Post presents ‘Can You Dig It’

Celebrate the flavors of the sea at Chaya Venice‘s “Oyster Fair” from February 16 to March 3. Available for dinner only, the menu will showcase both hot and cold dishes, such as fresh oysters on the half shell including Kumamoto, Fanny Bay, and Hama Hama ($16). Other starters on the menu include Baked Oyster Rockefeller with Spinach, Bacon, Cream, and Parmesan Cheese ($19) and Angus Beef Tartare with Fried Oyster and Sweet Potato Chips ($16). Main entrées include Oyster and Citrus Cured Salmon Chowder with Tokyo Winter Negi (Japanese Leeks), Yukon Potato, and a Homemade Bacon Scone ($20) and Kobe Short Rib “Pot Pie” with Caramelized Sweet Onion Sauce and Baked Oyster Zucchini, and Champagne Cream ($29). If produce is more your style, chef David LeFevre of M.B. Post in Manhattan Beach is kicking off the inaugural event, “Can You Dig It?” on February 24 at 12 PM. A three-course meal of small, shareable plates ($65) with an optional wine pairing will be available (+$35 more) in this seasonal program which will exhibit a guest chef along with a featured farmer.
