This April 19 – 22, 2012, the Specialty Coffee Association of America’s (SCAA) 24th Annual Exposition & Symposium will be held in Portland, Oregon.

Last year’s event had 8,000 coffee professionals from 40 countries and 700 exhibitor booths dealing with all the specialty coffee and tea goodness that you can think of. Attendees had the chance to learn from credentialed SCAA Lead Instructors through knowledge-dropping Skill Building Workshops.
The event also hosts several annual competitions for world class baristas, roasters, coffee cuppers, and producers to battle over, including the United States Barista Championship (USBC), US Brewers Cup, US Cup Tasters Championship, the Roasters Guild Coffees of the Year Competition (COTY) and Roasters Choice Competition.
