First opened in Rancho Santa Margarita a year ago, partners Tim Aspel and Bob Turner opened a second location last month in Laguna Niguel at 27020 Alicia Parkway #D. Spike’s Fish House has a simple formula, serve fresh grilled fish in a fast casual setting. Tim says, “there aren’t any secret recipes. We just start with the best ingredients to deliver great food, at a great price.”
Popular fishes that are displayed fresh at Spikes include Tilapia “Panko style,” Wild Salmon, Basa, Snapper, Yellow Tail, Swordfish, Ahi, and Mahi Mahi. Aside from straight grilling, you can have them made into a slider, taco, with white or brown rice in a bowl, or as a lettuce wrap. Grilled all-white meat chicken is also available to those who aren’t fish lovers.
Price on the menu ranges from $2.95 for Cajun Salmon Taco or Basa “Panko Style” Slider, to $9.99 for Tilapia “Panko Style” Fish House Plate.
Spikes has a selection of sauces they make from scratch, in-house, and are served on the side with your order.
