San Francisco Beer Week organizers plan to reach over 400 events

Get your livers ready, San Francisco! Beer week is back for its fourth year. San Francisco Beer Week 2012 will run from February 10 – 19 and the organizers are expecting bigger and better events. SFBW Communication Manager, Brian Stechschulte says, “Since events are just starting to roll onto our schedule it’s hard to be specific outside of our annual festivities, such as the Opening Celebration, but all indications point to an even bigger roster of events, which could reach 400.”

The beer week is put together by Northern California craft beer industry members and the San Francisco Brewers Guild which consists of eight local breweries: 21st Amendment, Anchor Brewing, Beach Chalet, Gordon Biersch, Magnolia, Social, Speakeasy, and ThirstyBear. Brian tells us that they are also seeing more interests from breweries outside of the Bay Area like Paso Robles, CA based Firestone Walker Brewing Co. The official website will reveal additional details on December 12. “It’s going to be a lot of fun,” Brian adds.
