Westwood, CA welcomes the addition of P’tit Soleil, a Quebecois restaurant and bar adjacent to Cafe Soleil. P’tit Soleil’s menu places emphasis on the poutine – French fries topped with fresh cheese curds and house made gravy, available in 10 varieties including the Poutine du Prince Edward – mussels au gratin, the Poutine Marat – filet mignon, mushrooms and a Cognac cream sauce and the Poutine Malik with Merguez sausage and a creamy Harissa sauce. Additionally, authentic French-Canadian dishes such as the Roule de Choux – French-Canadian style egg roll, filled with cabbage, veal and pork and the Crevette Heather – tiger shrimp in a cognac cream sauce are available. Dished up for dessert are items such as the Ah! Caramel! – chocolate covered cake with marshmallow and caramel fillings; the Jos Louis – chocolate cream filled cake; and the May West – chocolate covered yellow cake filled with custard. P’tit Soleil’s beverage menu include imported Canadian beers and complementary cocktails ranging from classics to Canadian specialties such as the Dirty French Canadian – Crown Royal, Grand Marnier, Ginger Ale, and a dash of Angostura bitters and the Canadian Martini – Vodka, Chambord and pineapple juice.
