Over 30 wineries set to participate in Temecula’s World of Wine Weekend

The Temecula Valley Winegrowers Association, comprised of 30 wineries and 60 winemakers, presents the 21st Annual World of Wine Barrel Tasting Weekend on March 3 and 4. This event brings together over 30 Temecula wineries as they allow guests to barrel taste wines while providing food and wine pairings with select vintages. Ticket holders will receive a map and passport, good for entry at any of the participating wineries.

Wineries to host tastings include Keyways Vineyard and Winery, Oak Mountain Winery, Masía De Yabar Vineyard and Winery, Robert Renzoni Vineyards, Frangipani Winery, Callaway Vineyard and Winery, and Van Roekel Vineyard and Winery. Braised short rib, baked mostaccioli, cioppino, and pork sandwiches will help comprise the menu as well as chicken dumplings in an herbes de Provence mushroom broth, Spanish-style empanadas and chimichurri sauce, sausage and white polenta topped with fresh mozzarella, Mediterranean lamb meatballs, and house-cured salmon.

The event runs from 10 AM – 4:30 PM on both Saturday and Sunday. Tickets for Sunday only are $79 while two-day tickets are $99 (residents of Temecula/Murrieta: $69). Tickets are available online or for purchase at the door on Saturday, March 3 at Ponte Winery, 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM. 800-801-9463
