One month of rare bourbons at Far Bar, Karl Strauss’ 23rd Anniversary Old Ale

Karl Strauss is debuting their 23rd anniversary Old Ale at “Changing of the Barrels” with a limited tasting on February 2, 2012, 6 PM – 9 PM. 100 ticket holders will get the first tasting of the 23rd anniversary brew and will also be able to sample the 24th Anniversary Flanders Red Ale before it goes into barrels for a year. The month of February will be dedicated to bourbon at Little Tokyo’s Far Bar. Expect “top notch bourbons and ryes as well as some rare and decadent barrel-aged beers” to be at the first “Annual Bourbon on 1st Street.” They’ll also be pairing stouts and barleywines along with bourbon and rye. Wednesday, February 8th for Hanger 24 Barrel Roll 3 Pugachev’s Cobra

We’ll have Hanger 24 in the house as we unleash the Cobra! This is the 3rd Annual release in the Barrel Roll series from H24 and it is a big, rich and delicious beast of a Bourbon Barrel-aged Russian Imperial Stout t at 16.5% ABV. We’ll also have five other H-24 beers on tap this night.

Tuesday, February 21st for Port/ Lost Abbey Barrel-Aged Night

So far we have a keg of Older Viscosity ’11 waiting to be tapped along with a couple of Barrel-Aged gems from Lost Abbey that we should be able to confirm soon.
