Golden Road Brewing pub serving up something for everyone

Golden Road Brewing in Atwater Village had their grand opening party last Sunday. To celebrate, they tapped seven new beers: Burning Bush IPA, Either Side of the Hill American strong ale, El Hefe Anejo – a tequila barrel-aged Hefeweizen, Festivus Cinnamon Bitter, Get Up Offa That Brown, Lost its Way IPA, and Rye on the Palate. Those delicious glasses of malty goodness will be joining the three taps already up – Golden Road Hefeweizen, Point the Way IPA and Schwartz Stout.

The food

Golden Road will also be expanding their already extensive menu that’s full of options for everyone – from vegans to vegetarians to carnivores alike. Currently they carry the Sloppy Joseph – stout-braised beef short ribs topped with fried shallots and a house made barbecue sauce on a poppyseed-studded bun, Coconut “Noodle” Salad – a vegan dish overflowing with tender strips of coconut, sliced jalapenos, carrots, chili peppers and cabbage tossed in a light curried sauce with toasted cashews.

New additions will include an artisan cheese plate, a roast beef sandwich – slow roasted brisket with blue cheese mousse, sun-dried tomatoes, arugula, and caramelized onions on sourdough, the vegan Banh Mi with julienned vegetables, pickled carrots, tofu, fresh herbs and Sriracha aioli as well as mass quantities of other tempting deliciousness.
