With only being open for four years, on December 31st, Redlands, CA based Hangar 24 Craft Brewery broke the 15,000 barrel production mark and graduated from being classified as a “Microbrewery” to a “Regional Craft Brewery”. The criteria between the two terms is based on the number of barrels they produce, regional breweries brew from 15,000 to 6,000,000.
We asked owner Ben Cook what the significance of this classification meant to him, “reaching Regional Brewery status is a milestone in Hangar 24’s history books. It shows what a small company can accomplish with hard working, dedicated individuals, great beer and the support of its community.” Hangar 24 has doubled their production twice since opening and is in the process of doubling again.
