Golden Road Brewing officially launches pub with extended hours of operation

Golden Road Brewing has had three goals since they opened, produce as much beer as possible, get the canning line up and running, and open up a pub. Well folks, the pub is here (since mid-December with limited hours and abbreviated menu) and the cans are right around the corner. The Pub will be featuring food items created by Chef Adam Levoe with 20 planned taps in the future (five taps to start). See examples of the menu and plans for the taps.

Little bit of the menu

A take-away deli case for quick lunch pick-ups will have salads like the vegan Coconut ‘Noodle’, shredded young thai coconut with julienned vegetables, spicy cashews and an almond chili sauce; and ‘Miso Crabby,’ blue crab meat with shaved cucumber, bell peppers and cherry tomatoes with miso vinaigrette will be available.

Sandwiches including the Roast Beef, roasted in house with caramelized onions and peppers and blue cheese mousse; and vegan Bahn Mi (pickled carrots, jalapeño, cucumber, bell peppers, fresh herbs and tofu with Sriracha mayo are also an option.

Comfort foods such as meatballs served with spicy vegan cornbread, twice-baked potatoes and an assortment of fritters, all available vegan and non-vegan, are offered on the bar menu. Heartier entrées feature a Braised Pork Shank braised in a special beer each week; a Sloppy Joseph with Porter braised beef short-ribs and house made BBQ sauce; and a vegan Crispy Sundried Tomato Polenta, among other items.

The taps

With five taps to start and twenty planned, expect great craft brews on tap. Brewmaster Jon Carpenter says, “our beers will not just be from California, but will primarily stay in the USA. All beers will come from friends of ours, as we want to support people that we respect and admire such as Dogfish Head, Oskar Blues, Firestone Walker, Avery, Stone and Hangar 24.”

The pub is open daily from 11 AM to 11 PM.
