33rd Annual Planned Parenthood Food Fare takes over Santa Monica today

With many various food events taking place over the city, it’s sometimes hard to find the ones that are worth attending. With a cooking demonstration by Julia Child many years ago, Planned Parenthood continues its annual food fare in Santa Monica Civic Auditorium today, March 8. Some of the notable restaurants and food establishments in the city take the lineup, including A.O.C, Waterloo & City, Angelini Osteria, Drago Centro, Salt’s Cure, Public Bar + Kitchen, Lucques, Clementine, Church and State, Ammo, and Craft.

Popular food trucks such as the Border Grill Truck and Grilled Cheese Truck will also serve up their popular dishes. The event is a great opportunity for foodies and supporters of Planned Parenthood to sample great food and drinks all in one place. There will also be an online and live auction of prizes, such as dream vacations.

This year, Planned Parenthood Los Angeles will be presenting Lucques and A.O.C. chef Suzanne Goin as Chef of the Year. “It is truly a great honor to be named as Chef of the Year! Planned Parenthood provides an invaluable service to the people of Los Angeles and I am so proud to once again be part of this wonderful event,” says Suzanne.

As for drinks, look for Rosenthal Vineyards and Summerland Winery to uncork their latest bottlings. Veev Acai Spirit and Piper Heidsieck champagne will flow alongside.

Tickets are now available at the door, at $175 for the daytime event occurring from 10:30 AM to 2PM and $250 for the evening event, which takes place from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Additional information can be found at pplafoodfare.com. 1855 Main St., Santa Monica, CA 90401.
