San Francisco Bay and Islands Trek, an inn-to-inn walking vacation

While most vacations involve a train or cab getting you where you need to be, Wine Country Trekking introduces the “San Francisco Bay and Islands Trek“ – an inn-to-inn walking vacation. An experience for travelers who want to explore the history and scenery of the San Francisco bay area on foot, without traffic, taxis, or any other forms of unfamiliar transportation.

This self-guided vacation starts in the heart of San Francisco, crosses the Golden Gate Bridge, visits Sausalito and the bay wetlands before finishing on the San Francisco waterfront. Although it’s mostly exploring the “City by the Bay” on foot, the package also includes: ferry rides on the bay to explore Alcatraz and Angel Islands, lodging, and gourmet meals.
