Regional Food Bank benefits from the sale, you benefit from the goodies of Coconut Milk Tres Leche Cakes from Echo Park’s Xoia to Dulce De Leche Rice Krispies Treats from Kate Wheeler of “Savour Fare” to Oreo-Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies from Esi Impraim of “Dishing Up Delights.” Eat My Blog has raised over $12,000 with the past three events.
Now that the turkey days are over, it’s time to move on to another animal. On Sunday, December 4 from 1 PM – 4 PM, Joshua Lurie, the man behind the L.A. Beer Float Showdown is back with another event. Except this time he’s substituting the ice cream for a lechón, a whole Filipino-style roast pig. Pig & Pints will be hosted at Biergarten in Los Angeles’ Koreatown.
The Annual Mammoth Festival of Beers and Bluesapalooza in Mammoth Lakes, CA is back for its 17 year on August 3 – 5, 2012. Early bird tickets go on sale on November 15.
CANFEST, Reno’s International Canned Beer Festival is making its way back to Reno on November 12. Canned beer continues to shed it’s inferior reputation, partly due to events like CANFEST, which was the first international canned beer festival. They attribute the interest because beer drinkers “realize that cans offer superior protection from sunlight and oxygen infiltration.” According to the craftcans.com database, over 130 craft breweries can at least one of their beers.
In about an hour, the Great American Beer Festival will kick off their three day event at the Colorado Convention Center in the Mile High City. We’ve compiled some numbers, giving you an idea on how “great” this beer festival really is.
