Orange County's The Bruery goes into action during S.F. Beer Week

Starting tonight

The Bruery of Orange County is flexing its muscles during San Francisco Beer Week. On Thursday night, February 16 at The Monk’s Kettle, Head Brewer Tyler King (pictured on the left) will be pouring anniversary ales Papier, Coton, and Cuir. Tyler will also make an appearance with Smoking Wood and Burly Gourd kegs at Oakland’s Beer Revolution on Friday, February 17. On Saturday, February 18, Beer Revolution will relinquish control of its taps allowing Southern California breweries, including The Bruery, to showcase their brews.

Bruery beers’ bromance with Mezze’s Mediterranean cuisine

Two dudes, fifty guests, one dinner

On Wednesday, February 22 at 7 PM, Ben Weiss of The Bruery and Chef Micah Wexler of Mediterranean restaurant, Mezze, team up to host “Fe-Bruery Feast”, an evening of beer and food. Ben will guide a tasting of four limited edition beers alongside a four-course pairing menu created by Micah. 50 tickets will be sold at $85. Dinners will be paired with beers such as: Loakal Red (hoppy red ale), Trois Poules Francais (Belgian dark strong ale), Smoking Wood (imperial smoked rye porter), and Filmishmish (sour blond ale). Bootleggers’ 10 brew tap takeover of Bruery Provisions and more

Late notice, but starting at 6 PM on January 30 in Orange, CA, Bootlegger’s Brewery and The Bruery are teaming up with an event at the Bruery Provisions. Ten taps will feature popular brews from Bootlegger’s plus collaborations that they’ve created with the Bruery including Chocosaurus Rye, a representation of each brewing style: “a dark rye lager that was finished with cacao nibs and vanilla beans.”

Two other beers from The Bruery will also be released, Mother Funker is a sour blonde all aged in Chardonnay barrels for several years which is “a seriously sour beer, perhaps the most sour beer we’ve produced so far.” Sour In The Rye! makes it’s return, brewed with almost 40% rye malt and also barrel aged for over a year. 143 N. 12 Days of Christmas at Bruery Provisions

A different beer for sale each day

The Bruery Provisions in Orange, CA is having 12 days of beer releases starting December 13 and ending on Christmas Eve. The 12 Days of Christmas event will feature beers from the Bruery archives with 6 cases of 12 different vintage beers available for purchase each day. These are special brews, some haven’t seen shelves for a couple years, others have never been sold, and new barrel aged beers will be released.

The kick off starts tomorrow during their Toys For Tuesday event. Bring in a toy and you get the chance to purchase a bottle of 2011 Black Tuesday. There are only 250 bottles available so make sure your toy qualifies for the donation at Toys For Tots. 143 N. Glassell Ave, Orange, CA 92866.

All I know is we stayed in a crappy hotel and spent more hours together in 5 days than my family and I have logged in, well … ever. Our first night took us to Falling Rock, for they had a pumpkin beer night featuring Elysian Brewing Company. California, Colorado win big at the Great American Beer Festival 2011
