Owner Brad Johnson of BLT Steak & Georgia and Executive Chef Govind Armstrong at Post & Beam in Baldwin Hills, CA introduced a brand new cocktail program yesterday. Headed and designed by mixologist Dan Warrilow(GM of Son of A Gun), Post & Beam will offer a cocktail selection featuring ingredients supporting local farmers and purveyors.
Some of the straightforward yet unique cocktails include “Strawberry Daiquiri” – housemade strawberry-infused Batavia arrack, honey, and lime; and the “Amaretto Sour” – rum, amaretto, and lime. Additionally, a variety of spirits, local wine, and craft beers have been chosen such as Stone Brewing Co. About a year and a half ago, One Market’s chef Mark Dommen (pictured above) and co-founder Michael Dellar came up with “The Weekly Beast” concept spotlighting a different animal. This four-course dinner is still dazzling crowds looking for something different. Chef Dommen’s idea pays tribute to the Michelin-starred restaurant’s philosophy of farm to table. After temporarily closing their doors to the great lament of SoCal craft brew fans, Blue Palms Brewhouse has re-opened and is throwing a craft beer fete to celebrate. The party starts on Sunday, April 1 at 12 PM – admission is $40 for a ten-taster wristband, and a limited amount of complimentary snacks (full food menu available for purchase). The first 100 wristbands purchased will receive early admission at 11:30 AM, which may come in handy for a certain “Young” IPA due to make an appearance on the taplist.
